　　For this task, you will need: sliding door lock with fixture, 30 mm drill bit, spade drill bit or hole saw, electric drill, jigsaw saw, pencil and chisel.

　　Using a 30 mm drill, spade drill or hole saw, drill 2 holes vertically aligned with a spacing of 138 mm (center to center) and 53 mm from the edge of the door.

　　Note: To avoid damaging the door, these holes should be drilled from both sides of the door and meet in the middle.

　　After drilling the two holes, use a jigsaw to cut from one hole to the other. Align the two holes so that you have a long rectangular opening with a radius at the end.

　　Draw a line from the center of the top hole to the edge of the door for reference. From this centerline, drill a 12 mm hole from the center of the door edge until it intersects the rectangular opening.

　　Measure 30 mm down from the same reference line, and then drill another 12 mm hole from the center of the door edge until it intersects the rectangular opening. Chisel off the lock block part between the 2 holes to accommodate the lock box.

　　Tip 5 Use a chisel to cut out 12mm deep 4mm wide 20mm from the top and bottom of the lock shell mortise respectively, so that the lock panel is exactly inside the edge of the door.

　　After drilling all the holes, insert the lock box into the edge of the door. Place the operator side of the lock into the long rectangular opening so that it engages with the pin through the ring. Use fixing bolts to place the lock indicator side from the other side of the door to fix both sides.
